Interesting site I just found. Haven’t spent much time with it but it looks like a promising source of information.
I thoroughly enjoyed this tutorial and creating my own complex grid. I did, however, make the mistake of not changing my paper size from A4 to 8.5 x 11 and all of my measurements were a little off. This is a good introduction to the complex grid but I will be looking for further information about its use as Gerstner himself said, “this grid requires considerable study, and a designer would have to spend a great deal of time working with it before he could make free use of it in a creative sense.”

A new blog on shady characters. should be fun
“Linotype: The Film” Official Trailer from Linotype: The Film on Vimeo.
Ok, there seems to be an increase in the number of expository design films. This is a trend I am all too happy to embrace.
The new House Industries trailer displays so many things that remind me of why I love design: TypeIllustrationMotionMusicCinematography all beautifully choreographed in what appears to be a flawless execution. I’ve only seen this about 6 times so far. I’ll keep looking for a flaw…
