This article discusses Don Norman’s work in emotion design. Very interesting read. Combine this with the work of Matthew May and you may have the beginning of an interesting paper.

Would have more appropriate for what is now up on these here interwebs. Someday maybe I’ll actually have time to fix it.
Interesting site I just found. Haven’t spent much time with it but it looks like a promising source of information.
I thoroughly enjoyed this tutorial and creating my own complex grid. I did, however, make the mistake of not changing my paper size from A4 to 8.5 x 11 and all of my measurements were a little off. This is a good introduction to the complex grid but I will be looking for further information about its use as Gerstner himself said, “this grid requires considerable study, and a designer would have to spend a great deal of time working with it before he could make free use of it in a creative sense.”
I’m sort of in the camp that you should choose a handful of typefaces as go to faces for your work, are you?
